MICKY DOLENZ OF THE MONKEES COMING TO MUSIKFEST CAFE JULY 31
Micky Dolenz, the voice behind some of The Monkees’ most memorable songs, will perform at the Musikfest Cafe presented by Yuengling July 31, 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $47-$57 and go on sale March 4, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and March 7, 10 a.m., to the public. They’ll be available at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.
Since their formation in the 1960s, The Monkees have sold more than 65 million records worldwide. In addition to their popular television show that ran from 1966-‘68, the group embarked on several sold-out reunion tours over the years. Dolenz, the band’s drummer, was the lead singer on some of the group’s biggest hits including “Last Train to Clarksville,” “I’m A Believer,” (I’m Not Your) “Steppin’ Stone” and “Pleasant Valley Sunday.”
